Career Resources

The second Khalifa to the Promised Messiah (AS) and founder of Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya, Hadhrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmood Ahmad (RA) once said:

Sinning is also caused by habits of laziness and lack of organised hours of daily life. A person tends to take things easy. He is a carefree. He has no inclination to work. when the time comes, he tends to make light of what he has to do. Time passes and he suddenly finds himself drinking. Once a sincere companion of the Holy Prophet (on him be peace and blessings) was all but ready to go to the battlefield but he made no preparation for it. He had persuaded himself that when the time came he would be able to join the party with ease. He continued to leave his preparations to the end. The result was he was left behind and could not join the army. Laziness, therefore, is often the cause of sin. Man is lazy and easy-going and is incapable of commanding himself to get up and go.” (extract from Way of the Seeker, originally from Jalsa Salana Qadian 1925).

It is no wonder then, that when Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih II (RA) formulated the constitution of Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya, a department dedicated to eradicating unemployment and idleness among young Ahmadi men was provided for. Even in the current age where some youngsters in society are deemed as becoming more lazy and materialistic than the generation that preceded them, due to a culture that breeds self-entitlement, the role that is performed by the Department for Sanat-o-Tijarat has never been more vital. To help fulfil the vision and objectives set for this department, MKA AUSTRALIA Sanat-o-Tijarat has launched the following five services for the benefit of all Khuddam.

Career Counselling Program

On many occasions, a young student finishes his education after Secondary School or College or University, with a sense of not knowing what career path to take or what to do next. The MKA Career Counselling Program (CCP) is there to help find out what interests the individual and the career options that are best suited to their skills/educational background and interests.

Learn a Skill

21st-century life is fast becoming characterised as a knowledge economy i.e. an economy in which growth is dependent on the quantity, quality and accessibility of the information available. Therefore, to help prepare youngsters for the challenges that are faced in the working world, the MKA Learn a Skill programme has been set up to help upskill individuals on a wide range of areas. Whether it’s learning about the basic maintenance of your car to developing a mobile app in Android, the programme is there to help facilitate and give Khuddam access to the necessary training that they need.

CV Clinic

Once an individual finds their career path, it becomes a challenge to try and secure a job in that area, particularly given the level of competition faced for each job vacancy. That is why the MKA CV Clinic is not only there to help work alongside the individual to structure their CV and/or online presence e.g. Linked profile; but to also help conduct mock telephone/skype/face to face interviews, to give the prospective applicant as much preparation as possible.

Business Start-Up

There are times when an individual may have a product or business idea but is just not sure how to bring that idea to fruition. The MKA Business Start-Up team is there to help give advice from drafting a business case through to what options are available to help finance their idea.

SOT Mentoring Programme

The purpose of the Mentoring Programme is to help connect those experienced professionals who are already established in their careers with individuals who are trying to enter their chosen career path and can greatly benefit from advice and hindsight.
